Matthew Nelson, DVM
Dr. Nelson is originally from Michigan and attended Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2006. Following, veterinary school, Dr. Nelson completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery (2006-2007) at SouthPaws Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Center in Northern Virginia, and completed a residency in Diagnostic Imaging at the University of Georgia with Board Certification in 2010. Following residency, he returned to SouthPaws. Dr. Nelson’s imaging interests include ultrasonography, radiography, and computed tomography.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, bicycling, swimming, and woodworking.
